Bhadrak, Oct 27: Elaborate arrangements have been made for the special rituals at the Akhandalamani Temple in Odisha’s Bhadrak during the partial lunar eclipse on Saturday, which also coincides Kumar Purnima.
According to the schedule, the Dwaraphita ritual along with Mangala alati, Mahasnana, Gharshanalagi, Jalabhiseheka Niti of the Lord will start at 4 AM. After that, the lord will be adorned with special ‘Digambar Besha’ and will be offered Pahili Bhoga.
As the lunar eclipse will start at 4PM, the darshan of the Lord for the general public will be debarred till Sarbamokhshya (end of eclipse). All the rituals will be completed before the eclipse begins. The devotees can have darshan of the lord from 5 AM to 4 PM, said sources.
Thousands of devotees throng to the temple for the darshan of Lord Akhandalmani during the holy month Kartika as the Kartika Brata will also begin on Saturday.
