Bhubaneswar, August 28 — A tragic incident of self-immolation has shaken the state capital, with reports emerging late Thursday night from Pandara village, located under the jurisdiction of Mancheswar Police Station.
According to initial accounts, Deepak Sahu, a 46-year-old practicing advocate, allegedly attempted self-immolation on the rooftop of his residence. The motive behind this extreme act remains unclear at this time.
Upon receiving the alert, local police promptly arrived at the scene and initiated a preliminary inquiry. Authorities have yet to determine the circumstances that led to the incident.
