Khordha, Sept 26: In a major crackdown on the illegal drug trade, Khordha Industrial Area Police on Thursday raided a location near Gosala Padia and seized 24 grams of brown sugar along with ₹1,500 in cash and two mobile phones.

During the operation, one accused managed to flee the scene on a motorcycle, while two others were apprehended on the spot. The arrested individuals are residents of the Mukundaprasad area in Khordha.

According to police sources, the estimated market value of the seized contraband is approximately ₹2.4 lakh. Authorities have launched a manhunt to trace the absconding suspect and have reportedly set up surveillance in multiple locations.

Police have further stated that similar raids will continue in the coming days as part of an intensified campaign against drug trafficking in the region.
