New Delhi, July 1: On Monday, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge took a jab at Prime Minister Narendra Modi's claim that the last 10 years of his governance were merely a trailer and "the real picture is yet to come."
Kharge remarked that the third term of the NDA has been marked by exam paper leaks, a terror attack in J&K, a train accident, an airport canopy collapse, bridge cave-ins, and toll tax hikes.
As the Leader of Opposition, Kharge also criticized the Prime Minister's election speeches and accused the ruling BJP's ideological parent, RSS. However, most of his remarks were expunged by Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar.
Kharge's comments came during a discussion on the Motion of Thanks to the President's address in the Rajya Sabha. He pointed out that the Prime Minister, during the Lok Sabha election campaign, often stated that "the last ten years were just a trailer, the real picture is yet to come."
