Gujarat, Oct 15:Gone are the days while the legend of Indian Cricket Ajay Jadeja was batting for an alternative to cricket, to maintain his lifestyle at par with an ace cricketer, who remains one among the topper’s celebrities.

Jadeja who remained isolated from the national and international cricket battles for years despite he played 15 Tests and as many as196 ODIs for India between 1992 and 2000 creating a great history for the nation, for some disciplinary allegations raised against him.

Now Jadeja is on cloud nine, as he has been recently crowned as the Jamnagar King, the Jamsaheb of the Princely province of Gujarat related to cricketers K. S. Ranjitsinhji and K. S. Duleepsinhji, who were also members of the Nawanagar royal family.

Now newly thorned Jamsaheb Ajay Jadeja is having the royal legacy with the palatial palace, treasury troves of the ancient Jamnagar kings and the provincial landed properties of the Jamnagar kings, handed down across generations.

The Jamnagar ancestral palace is a heavenly creation of the Jamnagar Royal family      which is a perfect blend of modern amenities and traditional architecture. The Jadeja family lives in an aesthetically designed home in Jamnagar that exudes luxury and royalty. The house features a spacious living room with comfortable furniture, a well-manicured and spacious garden, a massive courtyard, a well-designed bookshelf, classic wooden flooring, and an expansive dining area decorated with accented souvenirs collected by the former cricketer and his family from their vacations across the globe.

Ajay Jadeja's Royal Lineage is a scripture in the Indian History. Jadeja descendants of Ranjitsinh Jadeja, one of cricket's greats, who ruled Nawanagar between 1907 and 1933 were very famous in Gujarat then. So, Ajay’s signature was not just stepping into cricket but due to his legal riches.

Shatrusalyasinh is Ajay’s cousin from his father Daulatsinghji’s side and was a Member of Parliament from 1971 to 1984. The royal cricketing legacy runs deep in the family. Shatrusalyasinhji was not only a cricketer himself, captaining Saurashtra in the Ranji Trophy during the 1966-67 season, but he also headed the Saurashtra Cricket Association.

The Maharaja took over as the titular head of Nawanagar on February 3, 1966, after his father passed away. He even married into Nepal’s royal family, though they eventually splited up.
