Bhubaneswar, April 26: Commissionerate Police reportedly busted a 'rave party' at a resort under Chandaka police station late on Saturday night, sources said.

Sources stated that police received a tip-off about the 'rave party' taking place at a particular resort on Saturday night following which a massive raid was conducted.

Upon arriving at the location, the police team detained the organiser of the party for interrogation. A large number of youths were present in the party.

Sources said that police also reported seizing a substantial quantity of alcohol bottles, along with hookahs and other items from the party venue.

Sources stated that students and youths were invited for the party subject to certain amount of entry fee. The party, attended largely by youths, continue through the night.

The Commissionerate police were tipped off about the party by informants following which they kept vigil at the spot and raided the spot.

Acting on credible intelligence, the teams stormed the premises and apprehended the host. Sources said young boys and girls were allegedly engaged in consuming prohibited substances and orchestrating the event.

However, there has been no official confirmation either from the Commissionerate police or the Excise Department regarding any raid on such party.
