Bhubaneswar, Aug 5: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecasted heavy rainfall for five districts in Odisha over the next two hours.
The regional weather office has issued an Orange alert, predicting moderate to heavy rainfall in Cuttack, Kendrapara, Bhadrak, Balasore, and Jajpur.
According to the IMD, moderate rain with one or two intense spells is expected over parts of these districts, including the Cuttack city area. The heavy downpours may lead to waterlogging in low-lying areas and occasionally poor visibility.
Residents are advised to avoid movement in affected areas and to make arrangements for the drainage of excess water. It is crucial to keep a close watch on the weather updates and act accordingly.
