Berhampur, Aug 25: High drama unfolded at Lanjipalli in Ganjam as BJD workers intercepted the car carrying Gopalpur MLA Pradeep Panigrahi while the legislator was on his way to his constituency from Bhubaneswar.
His vehicle was stopped near Lanjipalli overbridge by BJD workers. Holding placards, they resorted to sloganeering against the MLA near the car. A heated argument was also witnessed between supporters of the lawmaker and the ruling party.
A scuffle also broke out between supporters of the MLA and the ruling party.
“We will not allow the MLA to enter Ganjam. He was involved in the chit fund scam. He also duped many youths on the pretext of providing them jobs in Tata Motors,” said one protester.
