Bhubaneswar, May 2: Intense heat wave conditions prevailed in most parts of Odisha on Thursday with as many as 29 places in the state recording temperature above 40 degrees Celsius.
While Bolangir emerged as the hottest place recording a scorching 45 degree Celsius, it was followed by Angul at 44.7 degree Celsius and Nuapada at 44.6 degree Celsius.
On the other hand, the twin cities of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack witnessed 39 and 38.6 degree Celsius respectively.

The Met department predicted that there is no possibility of significant change in the day temperature in the state during the next three days. However, the temperature is likely to drop by 3-4 degrees in the coming days.
