Great Khali was born Dalip Singh Rana on 27 August 1972 and despite his huge success all over the world, he is a very humble person. Here we wish warriors who inspire a happy and prosperous life. The Great Khali turned 49 years old today. Born Dalip Singh Rana on August 27, 1972 in Himachal Pradesh, he is involved in modeling and acting and of course his fortune from WWE wins makes all Indians proud. After all, he is the first Indian to win the World Heavyweight Championship in WWE history. He beat the famous WWE fighter The Undertaker and Big Show in the ring. Khali’s story is an inspiration and motivation in dealing with extreme poverty. Her family is battling poverty and her parents are unable to collect Rs 2.50 for her school fees, which makes her pay for further training, reports Jansatta. He then worked as a gardener in his village for 5 rupees a day. In his book The Man Who Became Khali, in the middle of summer, when his parents suffered heavy losses due to hunger and poor harvests, his teacher kicked him out of school, as he has not paid the Rs 2.50 fee. Khali recalled how his name was not only dropped from the school list. It was then that the boy decided never to go to school again. Then he heard that he got the gardener a daily wage. For only 5 rupees a day, he has to walk up the hill to the village 4 km below and bring seeds to plant. He did this with pleasure, as 5 rupees a day was double what he needed for his monthly school fees. Punjab Police Station later found this young man and offered him a job in Punjab Police. Khali found famous wrestler Dorian Yates while accompanying his friend - wrestler Revari Amit Swami - at Indira Gandhi International Airport to see Yates. Yates was impressed by the stature of the young man who was then named Dalip Singh Rana. The young man took Yates' suggestion seriously and went to Japan for training. Then moving to WWE changed things and the rest, as the saying goes, is history. He took the name Khali in WWE because he is a devotee of goddess Maa Kaali. The guys at WWE couldn't process the correct pronunciation of Kaali, so they came to Khali - The Great Khali.
