Jajpur, Mar 30: Police arrested five persons on Friday for allegedly looting a Punjab National Bak branch in the city, seizing two bikes, computers, a printer, and CC cameras from them.
The incident occurred at the Punjab National Bank branch near Boulanga Square under Mangalpur police limits. Although the looters attempted to break into the strong room, they were unsuccessful to break the treasury box and instead fled with computers, printers, and close circuit cameras.
A complaint was lodged with Mangalpur police, leading to an investigation and subsequent arrests of the accused, identified as residents of Mahanga and Panikoili areas.
They are scheduled to appear in court today.
