Bhubaneswar, May 28: Five new active cases of Covid-19 have been detected in Odisha, according to a confirmation from the State Health Department on Wednesday.
Out of the five cases, four are from the state capital, Bhubaneswar, while the fifth case has been reported from Jatni in Khordha district. Among the infected individuals, four are male and one is female.
The fresh detections have sparked concerns about a possible resurgence of the virus. In response, health officials have launched contact tracing and containment efforts in the affected areas.
Authorities have urged the public to remain cautious, follow COVID-19 appropriate behaviour, and immediately report any symptoms to healthcare providers.
