Baripada, July 15: A day after a major fire mishap in a hospital at Cuttack, a sudden fire reportedly broke out in a Baripada-based private hospital in Odisha’s Mayurbhanj district on Monday.
Fortunately, no casualty has been reported yet due to swift intervention of the fire brigades, said sources.
As per report, a sudden spark of fire was spotted in the ICU duty room of the Sai Hospital at Baripada town today. Being aware of it, the hospital crew informed the fire-services units immediately. Acting on it, the fire personnel rushed to the spot, initiated a dousing operations and brought the flames under control.
The reason behind the mishap is yet to be ascertained. However, the fire-services wing from its primary assessment, has suspected it to be a case of electrical short circuit.
