Bhubaneswar, March 12: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Tuesday announced Rs 50,000 each for Bhagabata Tungi in the State.
The sanctioned funds will be utilized to spread and strengthen Bhagwat Cult in villages by developing as many as 7,200 Bhagabata Tungis across the state.
According to an official press release, development work of the Bhagabata Tungis will be undertaken through the Odia Language, Literature and Culture Department.
The Bhagabata Tungi is a sacred institution in the rural Odisha that binds people of a village in a thread of unity and brotherly hood.
