Keonjhar, June 15: In a significant move to encourage public participation in electoral processes, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi took part in the Special Intensive Revision-2026 (SIR-2026) campaign by completing his voter list revision formalities at his native village, Raikala.
The Chief Minister filled out the voter enumeration form at his residence after receiving it from the Booth Level Officer (BLO) of the Raikala polling booth. The process was completed smoothly in the presence of Vishal Singh and other election officials.
Officials said the Chief Minister’s active involvement in the voter list revision exercise sends a strong message to citizens about the importance of maintaining accurate electoral records. His participation is expected to inspire voters across the state to verify and update their details in the electoral roll.
The district administration has urged all eligible voters to actively cooperate with the SIR-2026 campaign and assist Booth Level Officers who are conducting door-to-door visits as part of the revision process.
According to officials, the initiative is being carried out in accordance with the guidelines of the Election Commission of India to ensure a transparent, accurate and error-free electoral roll ahead of future elections.
Authorities emphasized that public cooperation is essential for strengthening the democratic process and ensuring that every eligible citizen is correctly represented in the voter list.
