Bhubaneswar, June 7: In response to a fresh surge in COVID-19 cases across the country, Odisha has ramped up precautionary efforts to curb the spread of the virus. Capital Hospital in Bhubaneswar has proactively implemented updated COVID-19 guidelines, according to officials.
According to the report, as of June 6, 2025, the state tested 755 samples, out of which 38 returned positive. While nine individuals have already recovered, 29 patients remain under home isolation and are reported to be in stable condition.
To handle potential complications, Capital Hospital has strengthened its infrastructure by conducting oxygen supply drills, preparing dedicated COVID beds, and increasing testing facilities. Health authorities continue to urge the public to follow COVID-appropriate behavior, including wearing masks in crowded or high-risk areas.
A senior health official noted that while the current strain of the virus does not appear to be highly fatal, caution remains essential.
