Bhubaneswar, Mar 13: The Bhubaneswar-Bolangir-Bhubaneswar Express has been extended to Sonepur, coinciding with the completion of the railway line from Bolangir to Sonepur.
According to an official statement from the East Coast Railway, the inaugural run of this extended service was inaugurated today by local MP Sangita Kumari Singhdeo at Sonepur Railway Station.
The 12893 Bhubaneswar-Bolangir-Sonepur Super Fast Express, upon reaching Bolangir, will depart at 13:45 hrs towards Sonepur, arriving at 15:15 hrs. Conversely, the 12894 Sonepur-Bhubaneswar Super Fast Express will depart Sonepur at 13:00 hrs, reaching Bolangir at 14:25 hrs. From Bolangir, it will depart at 14:45 hrs and reach Bhubaneswar at 21:45 hrs. Regular service for this train will commence from Sonepur starting from March 14, 2024, and from Bhubaneswar from March 15, 2024.
The schedule and stops for the 12893/12894 Bhubaneswar-Sonepur-Bhubaneswar Express will remain unchanged between Bhubaneswar and Bolangir in both directions. Between Bolangir and Sonepur, the train will halt at Bichhupali, Jhartarbha, and Narsingh Garh Railway Stations.
