The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust is expected to finalize its decision today on appointing the first Chief Executive Officer for the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. Three senior bureaucrats and officers, currently serving in the Uttar Pradesh government or recently retired, have emerged as the primary contenders for the newly created position. The trust members are convening to evaluate these candidates, focusing on their administrative experience and ability to manage large-scale operations.
Establishing a Corporate Structure
This leadership appointment represents a significant shift in how the temple complex is managed. The decision to bring in a dedicated CEO reflects the trust's intention to professionalize the administration of the rapidly expanding site, which has seen millions of visitors since its inauguration. According to trust officials, the CEO will oversee day-to-day operations, financial management, and coordinate infrastructure development around the 70-acre complex. The selected officer will report directly to the trust's general secretary, Champat Rai, and the temple construction committee chairperson, Nripendra Misra.
