Dhenkanal, Oct 8: Odisha will celebrate the annual Gajalaxmi Puja 2022 from tomorrow. The Puja is celebrated on Sharad Purnima in the month of Aswina for 11-days. In Odisha, Laxmi Puja is celebrated in a grand manner in Dhenkanal which is almost a century-old tradition. This year, Goddess Laxmi will be worshiped in 38 pandals here. The pandals have been decorated with dazzling lights. Besides, Meena bazaar is the main attraction of the pandals. Self help groups (SHGs) and other traders will sell their products at the fair organised. Besides, Dhenkanal, Laxmi Puja is also celebrated in other places like Angul, Kendrapara, Choudwar, Khordha, Jatni, Talcher, and so on. Not only in Odisha but also Kojagari Lakshmi Puja is celebrated across West Bengal, and Assam. Most of the people from other parts of the country also worship Maa Laxmi on Amavasya Tithi during Diwali, so that people will be blessed with health and wealth.
