Odisha: Rs 10 lakh cash, gold ornaments robbed from bank in Keonjhar

Keonjhar, June 12: In a broad daylight heist, armed miscreants allegedly robbed Rs 10 lakh cash and a substantial quantity of gold ornaments from the Odisha Grameen Bank at Joda town in Odisha’s Keonjhar district on Thursday.
As per reports, a gang of five armed robbers with their faces covered with mask barged into the bank during regular business hours and showed guns to scare the staff and customers. The staff, fearing for their safety, gave them the cash and gold following which they fled from the scene.
Upon getting the information, Joda Police arrived at the scene and took stock of the situation.
A probe has been launched into the matter and the CCTV footage is being examined to identify and nab the culprits involved, said the police.
