Anil Kapoor's mother Nirmal Kapoor passes away at 90

Mumbai, May 2: Nirmal Kapoor, the matriarch of the Kapoor family and mother of Boney, Anil, Sanjay, and Reena Kapoor Marwah, passed away at the age of 90 on Friday at Kokilaben Ambani Hospital in Mumbai. Dr. Santosh Shetty, CEO and Executive Director of the hospital, confirmed that she "passed away peacefully around 5:25 pm." Boney Kapoor was seen arriving at her residence shortly after the news emerged.
Just last September, the Kapoor family had come together to celebrate Nirmal’s 90th birthday. Anil Kapoor shared heartfelt photos with his mother on social media, captioning the post: “90 years of love, strength, and endless sacrifices. Your presence fills our lives with joy and positivity every day.”
Nirmal Kapoor was the wife of the late film producer Surinder Kapoor and a beloved figure in one of Bollywood’s most influential families. In addition to raising four accomplished children, she was also the grandmother of several prominent film personalities, including Arjun Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor, Rhea Kapoor, Harsh Varrdhan Kapoor, Janhvi Kapoor, Anshula Kapoor, Khushi Kapoor, and Mohit Marwah.
