Koraput, Oct 15: In another bid to acquire Kotia in Odisha’s Koraput, Andhra Pradesh Administration on Saturday organized a health camp on the Odisha villages, situated on the Andhra-Odisha border.
The Andhra health officials made another attempt to woo the villagers on the border conducting a free health camp in the Kotia group of villages.
According to sources, some health workers from Andhra barged into the Odisha limits and organized a free health camp at Galigabadar village under the Nuagaon panchayat in Pottangi block. Besides checking the health conditions of the locals, they distributed essential medicines free of cost.
However, it was diluted after Block Chairperson of Pottangi, Kalpana Pangi, along with her supporters reached the spot and confronted the Andhra health workers. A heated argument ensued thereafter the public representative raised her voice against the illegal attempt of the Andhra officials. Following the faceoff, the health workers returned to their state, the sources added.
