Mumbai, June 8: Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan once again grabbed public attention after being spotted in an unusual moment—driving himself on a Sunday, instead of using his usual chauffeur-driven car. The rare sighting quickly went viral on social media, surprising fans who are accustomed to seeing the veteran actor travel with a driver.
The incident took place on Sunday when Bachchan was also seen continuing his long-standing tradition of greeting fans outside his Mumbai residence, Jalsa. Popularly known as “Sunday Darshan,” this weekly interaction has become a cherished ritual for his admirers.
Later in the day, the actor shared a reflective post on his Tumblr blog, where he discussed generational differences and the rapid evolution of technology. He recalled growing up in an earlier era with limited access to modern conveniences and highlighted how dramatically life has changed over the decades.
Describing his experiences, Bachchan wrote about a time when basic technologies such as telephones, refrigerators, and air conditioners were not readily available, noting how their later introduction felt overwhelming and fascinating. He also acknowledged that younger generations may find it difficult to relate to such experiences, just as older generations sometimes struggle to adapt to modern advancements.
The actor further observed that technological progress continues at a rapid pace and that future generations may also face similar challenges in adapting to constant change. He emphasized the idea of “catching up” with modernisation while noting that some people may choose to disengage, whereas others remain eager to learn and adapt.
Concluding his reflections, Bachchan wrote, “YES ... NO ... two of the most expressions to be expressed ...”
On the professional front, Amitabh Bachchan was last seen in Kalki 2898 AD, directed by Nag Ashwin, which featured Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, and Kamal Haasan in key roles.
