Athgarh, April 30:Athgarh MLA and Agriculture Minister Ranendra Pratap Swain’s road-show In Athgarh Town caught a phenomenal look on Monday, as the 7-time MLA was found riding his antique scooter ahead of his nomination.
Swain’s rally re-scripted his 40-year old political history as he filed his nomination for the 8th time as an MLA candidate riding his vintage scooter that has been leading his way to success since the last 7 consecutive elections.
Sources said that, Swain took out a grand political rally in the Athgarh Town that led to the Returning Officer’s chamber. Swain was discovered riding his 40-year old Bajaj Cub scooter. Meanwhile, he visited the Dhabaleswar Temple, offered obeisance to the Lords ahead of filing his nomination.
Following an hour-long puja and other rituals, Swain started for the Sub-Collector’s office on the scooter and submitted his nomination papers.
Asked on the connection of the scooter and Assembly election, Swain said, “the scooter augers a symbol of victory for me. I have been using it during nomination since I fought my first ever election from Athgarh.”
“This time also the scooter will bring forth thumping victory for me”, Swain added.
