Puri, Oct 29: A 76-year-old devotee from New Delhi tragically passed away inside the Puri Jagannath Temple on Tuesday, just before he could have a darshan (viewing) of the deities.

The deceased, identified as Mul Chand, had traveled to Puri with his family to seek blessings at the temple. However, while entering the temple through the 'Sata Pahacha' gate, he suddenly collapsed and fell unconscious. His family immediately rushed him to the district headquarters hospital, where doctors declared him dead upon arrival.

The sudden death of the devotee has left his family in shock. Authorities are conducting the necessary formalities, and the incident is being looked into further.
