Bhubaneswar, Jan 30: Ditari Panda, a well-known opera ( Jatra) artist, has joined the Biju Janata Dal (BJD). Along with Daitari Panda, many renowned artists from the opera world including actor Bapi Panda, Subash Behera, and Hrushikesh Mishra also joined the party.
BJD Vice-President Debi Prasad Mishra, MP Manas Mangaraj, and Amar Patnaik welcomed the opera artists to the Biju Janata Dal. Parliamentarian Manas Mangaraj and all the leaders welcomed them into the party with a shawl and flowers.
MP Mangaraj said that the party's organization will be further strengthened due to the participation of opera artists in BJD.
Opera artists said, “Being inspired by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik's people-oriented activities and policy, they have joined BJD. In the coming days, BJD will also work better and become stronger”.

Opera artist Pratap Rudra Patra, Rajendra Kumar Pati, Tapan Mallick, Braja Sunder Mallik, Sarat Chandra Sahu, Lingaraj Panigarahi, Palla Raju Padan, Anirudha Paik, Shankar Podha, Saubhagya Haripal, Pusottam Sararia, Purnima Chhatria, Trisulia Behera and Tejirani Swain joined BJD. Almost 350 opera artists from across the state joined the ruling party BJD.
