Dhenkanal, February 15: Bodies of 3 from a family were found hanging inside a closed house in Dhenkanal on Saturday.
The horrific incident took place at Chaulia Khamar village under the Dhenkanal Town Police limit.
The deceased have been identified as Shankarshan Das (retired Railway official), his daughter Subarna(40 Yrs) and grandson Santosh(16 yrs).
According to reports, Shankarshan was was residing at his house with Subarna and Santosh. Meanwhile, the trio’s
Bodies were recovered from a closed room, on the information of Shankarshan’s wife Puspanjali who was away from home for some days.
The police reached the spot, seized the bodies and sent them for postmortem.
The mystery behind the trio’s death is yet to be ascertained.
Police is moving round Puspanjali as she is the prime witness of the case.
A case has been registered in this connection. Further investigation is underway to rule out foulplay behind the incident, said the investigation officer.
