Ahmedabad, May 17: Union Home Minister Amit Shah praised the Indian Army’s precision and PM Narendra Modi’s strong leadership during 'Operation Sindoor', calling it an unprecedented military action 100 km inside Pakistan.
Speaking in Gandhinagar, Shah said nearly 100 terrorists were eliminated and 15 Pakistani military installations destroyed in retaliation for the Pahalgam terror attack, where 26 civilians were killed.
Shah emphasized that this is the first time since independence that such a deep strike was carried out, showcasing India's zero-tolerance approach to terrorism. He said Modi named the operation in honour of Indian women and fulfilled his pledge to avenge the Pahalgam killings. The world, he noted, is lauding India’s restraint, precision, and resolve.
During his Gujarat visit, Shah also inaugurated development projects worth over ₹700 crore.
