Cuttack, Oct 11: Sheshadev Sahu, a warrant-listed accused who had earlier escaped from police custody, has been re-arrested by Badamba Police.
According to Station Officer Aniruddha Muduli, Sahu was wanted in connection with a 2019 theft case and was apprehended by police on October 8. He was produced before the court on Friday evening, where his bail plea was rejected. Subsequently, he was remanded to judicial custody.
Preliminary investigation has revealed that Sahu is a repeat offender with multiple serious cases registered against him across various police stations, including charges of murder, dacoity, bomb attacks, and theft.
