Thiruvananthapuram, AP 4: The Central University of Tamil Nadu marked Utkal Dibasa on April 2, 2026, with a vibrant and culturally rich event, celebrating the heritage of Odisha. The program was graced by the esteemed Vice Chancellor, Prof. M. Krishnan, who lauded the team from Odisha for organizing the event in a commendable manner.

The event saw a number of dignitaries in attendance, including Registrar Dr. R. Thirumurugan, Controller of Examination Prof. Sulaochana Sekhar, Director of Student Welfare Prof. Renuka Devi, and others. The cultural extravaganza was presided over by Dr. Sujit Kumar Behera.

One of the highlights of the celebration was the cultural performances, which included captivating dance forms like Odissi, Semi-Classical, Sambalpuri Dance, and the energetic Koraput Dhemsa. These performances beautifully showcased the rich cultural diversity of Odisha.

The event was conducted smoothly under the leadership of faculty members from the Odia Department, including Dr. Deepali Sahoo, Dr. Bhabani Shankar Mohanty, and Dr. Dibyasakti Panda. The celebrations were generously sponsored by Master Girija Memorial Trust, Kanya Anmol Hai, and Chandi Foundation Trust.

The vote of thanks was delivered by Dr. Bhabani Shankar Mohanty, expressing gratitude to all those who contributed to the success of the event.
