Jenapur, Sept 10: Two persons lost their lives after being run over by an unidentified vehicle at Dankari Square, under the jurisdiction of Jenapur police station in Jajpur district, on Wednesday.

The victims have been identified as Nabaghana Parida from Chadheisara village and Sanatan Samal from Lunibar village.

According to reports, the incident occurred in the early morning hours when Nabaghana and Sanatan were attempting to chase away wild bulls that were damaging their crops in nearby paddy fields. As they sat or lay down by the roadside field, an unknown vehicle ran them over.

Upon receiving the distress call, Jenapur police rushed to the scene and have launched an investigation into the incident. However, the exact circumstances leading to the accident remain unclear, and authorities are working to identify the vehicle involved in the hit-and-run.
