Jajpur, May 23: A shocking incident unfolded in Manasingh village, Jajpur district, where a father allegedly ended his life after learning of his son’s death.

The tragedy began at Steamer Panda’s studio in Mangalpur Bazaar. An employee reportedly ingested poison and, in the course of his distress, accidentally struck Steamer Panda on the chest with his hands and feet, leaving him seriously injured.

The injured man was initially admitted to Mangalpur Community Health Centre and later shifted to Jajpur District Headquarters Hospital due to the severity of his condition, where doctors declared him dead.

Upon receiving the news of his son’s death, Rasananda Panda, the father, allegedly committed suicide at his residence.

Both bodies have been sent to Jajpur District Headquarters Hospital for post-mortem examination. Mangalpur Police have launched an investigation into the incident.
