Khurdha, July 15: A tragic incident occurred on Tuesday in Daisingh Adivasi Sahi under Bhadrak police limits, where a five-year-old boy and his uncle were electrocuted.
The victims have been identified as Naba Munda, a young child, and his uncle Nidhi Munda.
According to reports, the accident happened when Naba was chasing monkeys near the village and accidentally came into contact with a live electric wire that had fallen on the ground.
Nidhi, who saw the incident unfold, immediately rushed to rescue his nephew but was also electrocuted in the process.
Local residents acted swiftly, cutting off the power supply and rushing both victims to the Bhadrak District Headquarters Hospital. Sadly, doctors declared them brought dead.
