Angul, May 5: A tragic accident at the Shri Metallic plant in Angul claimed the lives of three workers, officials confirmed on Tuesday. The victims, who sustained critical injuries, were admitted to a hospital in Hindol, where doctors declared them dead.

According to sources, the incident occurred on Monday evening during maintenance work inside the factory. The injured workers were rescued late at night and taken to the Dhenkanal–Hindol hospital. However, in a bid to avoid tension, they were reportedly admitted there under the pretext of being shifted to a hospital in Cuttack, without immediately informing the police.
