Bhubaneswar, Aug 1: In a significant milestone for Odisha's startup ecosystem, three startups supported by Startup Odisha showcased their innovative products at a special exhibition held at the Cultural Centre of Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi on Friday.

The selected startups—Gargi Automated and Robotic Gadget Industries Pvt. Ltd., Neurup Tech Solutions, and Urban-Hyfi Biosciences—were among grassroots innovators chosen from across the country under the Atal Innovation Mission. The founders had the opportunity to present their innovations before the President of India, Droupadi Murmu.

The participation marks a major achievement for Odisha's growing innovation ecosystem and highlights the state's increasing presence on the national startup landscape.

Congratulating the entrepreneurs, MSME and Fisheries & Animal Resources Development Minister Gokulananda Mallik said the recognition reflects Odisha's emergence as a hub of innovation under the state's Startup Policy. He noted that the policy has been instrumental in nurturing young entrepreneurs and fostering an environment that encourages innovation and enterprise.

Commissioner-cum-Secretary of the MSME Department Rashmita Panda said Odisha's startups have consistently earned national recognition, demonstrating the effectiveness of the state's efforts to promote entrepreneurship and innovation.

Startup Odisha CEO Smrutiranjan Pradhan said the initiative continues to provide financial assistance, mentoring and other incentives to young and women entrepreneurs, enabling them to transform innovative ideas into successful enterprises.

Among the participating ventures, Gargi Automated and Robotic Gadget Industries Pvt. Ltd., founded by Sheetal Jimani, showcased advanced assistive technologies for persons with disabilities, including an automated transformable bed-chair and an exoskeleton.

Neurup Tech Solutions, founded by Anup Paikaray, presented Chuliv, an innovative cooking solution designed to modernize traditional kitchens by reducing air pollution, improving fuel efficiency and promoting healthier cooking environments.

Meanwhile, Urban-Hyfi Biosciences, established by Adhiraj Mahapatra, exhibited sustainable materials developed from agricultural waste. The startup has created mushroom-based bio-leather as an eco-friendly alternative to conventional animal leather.

Officials said Startup Odisha remains committed to strengthening the state's startup ecosystem by supporting entrepreneurs, encouraging innovation and facilitating global exposure for homegrown ventures. The recognition at Rashtrapati Bhavan is expected to inspire more young innovators across Odisha to pursue entrepreneurship and contribute to the state's innovation-led growth.
