Secunderabad, Nov 9: At least three coaches of the Secunderabad-Shalimar Superfast Express derailed near Howrah, West Bengal, at approximately 5:30 AM on Saturday, according to officials from the South Eastern Railway. The incident occurred at Nalpur, located around 40 kilometers from Kolkata. Fortunately, no casualties or injuries have been reported at this time. Among the derailed coaches was a parcel van.
The train, numbered 22850, was en route as it passed through Nalpur station in the Kharagpur Division when the derailment took place. In response, the railways dispatched an accident relief train and medical relief trains from Santragachi and Kharagpur to provide assistance. Additionally, buses have been arranged to transport passengers to Kolkata.
