Mumbai, May 8: Actor Nimrat Kaur has expressed strong support for the Indian Armed Forces following their precision strikes on terrorist camps located in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoK). These strikes were part of Operation Sindoor, launched in retaliation to the April 22 terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, which claimed 26 civilian lives, including that of a Nepali national.
Speaking about the operation, Nimrat stated, "I fully support the action taken by our armed forces against terrorist camps. There should be no place for terrorism—not just in India, but anywhere in the world."
Reflecting on the tragic Pahalgam attack, the actor shared a personal connection. "We all witnessed what happened in Pahalgam, and it was heartbreaking. I lost my father, who was martyred in Kashmir in 1994. As the daughter of a martyr, I know firsthand the pain and upheaval such events bring."
Nimrat also called upon citizens to unite in support of the government's anti-terror efforts. "As responsible citizens, we should stand firmly with the Government of India to end these acts of terror and help build a safer, terror-free nation," she urged.
Operation Sindoor, carried out in the early hours of Wednesday, specifically targeted terrorist infrastructure across the border, aiming to eliminate threats and prevent future attacks.
