Taxpayers Can File GSTAT Appeals Until July 31, Says Finance Ministry

The Centre has extended the deadline for taxpayers to file appeals before the Goods and Services Tax Appellate Tribunal (GSTAT) by one month, moving the last date to July 31, 2026.

​​​​​​​New Delhi, June 30: The Centre has extended the deadline for taxpayers to file appeals before the Goods and Services Tax Appellate Tribunal (GSTAT) by one month, moving the last date to July 31, 2026.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, the Finance Ministry said the extension provides taxpayers with additional time to submit appeals before the tribunal.

The GSTAT, which was launched in September 2025 to adjudicate disputes under the Goods and Services Tax regime, had earlier setJune 30, 2026, as the deadline for filing appeals.

"The government has extended the due date for filing of appeals before the Goods and Services Tax Appellate Tribunal (GSTAT) to July 31, 2026," the Finance Ministry said.
