Symbol of simplicity and service’: Leaders laud President Murmu on her 67th birthday

New Delhi, June 20: On the occasion of President Droupadi Murmu’s 67th birthday, celebrated on Friday, June 20, 2025, greetings poured in from across India’s political spectrum, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, and several other prominent leaders extending their heartfelt wishes.

Prime Minister Modi, in a message posted on X, praised President Murmu’s life and leadership as a source of inspiration for millions across the country.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, along with Deputy Chief Ministers Keshav Prasad Maurya and Brajesh Pathak, also conveyed their best wishes.

In a post on X, Mr. Adityanath described the President as a “symbol of service and simplicity,” and added, “Heartiest congratulations on her birthday! I pray to Lord Shri Jagannath for your long, healthy, and glorious life.”

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee also shared her greetings on the social media platform, saying:

“My warmest wishes to Hon’ble President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu, on her birthday. May she be blessed with a long life, good health, and profound happiness as she continues to serve the nation with grace and dedication.”

Vice-President Jagdeep Dhankhar extended his wishes with a heartfelt message, highlighting President Murmu’s remarkable journey.
