Bargarh, October 11: Odisha Governor Dr. Hari Babu Kambhampati on Sunday inaugurated a Boeing Sukanya Programme STEM lab and Aeromodeling Training Center at The Kosala School in Bargarh district. The facility will benefit more than 2,000 students annually.
The Boeing Sukanya Program STEM lab will enable students to explore robotics, physical computing, electronics, artificial intelligence, rapid prototyping, and aerospace concepts.
The Aeromodeling Training Center will focus on teaching the practical mechanics of aviation, aerodynamics, aircraft design, flight, and model aircraft construction.

The Governor toured the facility and interacted with students at a student innovation showcase, where students demonstrated projects, prototypes, and aeromodeling flight activities.
"These facilities will help nurture a scientific temper that will inspirestudents to be part of India’s burgeoning technology industry,” said the Governor.
Earlier in January this year, the Boeing Sukanya Program STEM labs were inaugurated in Rairakhol, and Kuchinda of Sambalpur district.
Attabira MLA Nihar Ranjan Mahanand, Bhatli MLA Irasis Acharya, Bargarh MLA Aswini Sarangi, Bargarh Collector Aditya Goyal, Boeing India & South Asia President Salil Gupte and, Koshal School Chairman Murali Krishna Gannamani, Learning Links Foundation Chairperson Anjlee Prakash among others were present.
Launched in 2024 by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Boeing Sukanya Programme aligns with India’s vision to increase women’s participation in aviation. The Boeing Sukanya Programme is implemented in partnership with Learning Links Foundation (LLF).
The programme also offers scholarships to girls to pursue their dream of becoming pilots, helping build a strong talent pipeline to increase women’s participation in India’s aviation growth.
