Cuttack, July 3: In an unprecedented incident, a speeding bus with full of passengers onboard caught fire at Cuttack on Wednesday.
The passengers got a narrow escape due the driver’s intelligence, said reports.
Sources said, a private bus named Jagannath which runs between Cuttack to Dhenkanal was leaving Badambadi Bus-stop for Dhenkanal with full- capacity. Meanwhile, at Chandia Chhak the passengers reported unusual heat and suffocation inside the bus fearing some sort of fire mishap.
Acting on it, the driver stopped the speeding bus as exhaust of smoke was found coming out from the vehicle’s dickey. Subsequently, the passengers gushed out of the bus for safety.
On being informed, fire brigades rushed to the spot and took the flames under control.
