Mumbai, July 15: Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani have welcomed their first child a baby girl bringing immense joy to their families and fans. The actress reportedly gave birth earlier than expected, with both mother and baby said to be healthy and doing well.
Kiara, who was due in August, was admitted to HN Reliance Hospital in Mumbai’s Girgaon area for the delivery. The news was met with an outpouring of congratulations from fans across the country.
The couple had announced their pregnancy earlier this year on 28 February through a heartfelt Instagram post that featured a photo of their hands cradling a pair of crocheted baby socks, captioned: "The greatest gift of our lives coming soon."
In the days leading up to the delivery, Sidharth and Kiara were seen at a Mumbai clinic, attempting to avoid paparazzi attention by shielding themselves with an umbrella. They were accompanied by Sidharth’s mother, Rimma Malhotra, and Kiara’s parents, Genevieve and Jagdeep Advani. Despite their celebrity status, the couple maintained a low public profile throughout the pregnancy.
This year also saw Kiara Advani make a dazzling debut at the prestigious Met Gala in New York, where she wore a stunning creation by Indian designer Gaurav Gupta. Her baby bump became the focal point of her look, with Gupta later revealing that the design was a tribute to motherhood and new beginnings.
Sidharth and Kiara tied the knot on 7 February 2023 in a fairy-tale wedding held at the Suryagarh Palace in Rajasthan. Their love story began on the sets of the 2021 war drama Shershaah, where their chemistry both on and off screen caught attention. They successfully kept their relationship private until the film's release on Amazon Prime Video.
Kiara had previously shared details of Sidharth's romantic proposal on Koffee With Karan Season 8. She recalled how the actor popped the question during a holiday in Rome, Italy, with his family. "I was overwhelmed, and then he started saying the lines from Shershaah. He said, ‘Dilli ka seedha saadha launda hoon’, quoting his character, and I just burst out laughing," Kiara said during the show.
Now together for four years — two of them as husband and wife — Sidharth and Kiara are stepping into parenthood. Their newborn daughter marks a significant milestone in their journey as a couple. As they had once said, this is truly “the greatest gift of their lives.”
