New Delhi, October 12: In a shocking incident, a 34-year-old woman from Odisha was allegedly raped and left semi-conscious on the streets of New Delhi. 

The woman was found in the Sarai Kale Khan area by a passerby in the early hours of Friday. The police were alerted at approximately 3:30 am, and the victim was swiftly taken to AIIMS Trauma Centre for medical treatment.

According to police reports, the woman had left her hometown a year ago and had been living in Delhi. 

She initially resided in Katwaria Sarai with another woman but was forced to leave in August following a dispute. Since then, she had reportedly been living on the streets.

A senior police official stated that the woman, who is a graduate, has been placed under observation, and her family has been informed.

 Investigations are ongoing, with efforts being made to identify the perpetrators using CCTV footage and other technical surveillance methods.
