Bhubaneswar, May 2: In a significant step towards strengthening women’s safety and empowerment, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Saturday launched the Shaktishree App for female employees and students under the Higher Education Department.

The initiative aims to provide a secure environment across colleges and universities by enabling women to report any untoward incidents through the application. Equipped with a 24×7 alert system, the app is expected to ensure prompt response in emergency situations.

Officials said the platform will not only enhance safety measures within educational institutions but also instill confidence and a sense of security among women across the state.
