Puri, Sept 4: In yet another glaring lapse in security at the Shree Jagannath Temple (Srimandir), a youth from Maharashtra has triggered a fresh controversy after posting a photograph taken inside the temple premises on social media. The individual, identified as Vaibhav Doore Patil, reportedly shared the image on his Instagram account, raising serious concerns over the effectiveness of the temple’s security protocols.

This incident has drawn sharp criticism from devotees and locals alike, with many questioning how such violations continue to occur despite the presence of multiple security layers. Demands for immediate and stringent action are growing louder, as calls intensify for a comprehensive review of the temple's surveillance and access control mechanisms.

The breach is not an isolated case. Over recent months, several instances have emerged where individuals have either entered the temple complex illegally through the Meghanada Pacheri (inner boundary wall) or managed to capture photographs and videos using mobile phones and hidden cameras—despite a strict ban on electronic devices inside the temple.
