Bhubaneswar, October 6: To strengthen security and maintain law and order in Bhadrak, a town that has experienced communal tensions, the district administration has initiated the installation of Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) cameras in key areas ahead of the Durga Puja season, said Dr. Satyajit Naik, DIG, Eastern range.
Dr. Naik said that as many as 17 CCTV cameras have been strategically placed across Bhadrak town, covering vital public spaces such as markets and sensitive zones.
The local police force has heightened its vigilance, enhancing surveillance to prevent disruptions and swiftly address criminal activities.
This move aims to improve public safety and instill confidence among the residents.
The primary goal of the CCTV installation is to deter crime, facilitate prompt investigations, and ensure justice.
