Riyansh, Anannya win State U 7 Chess

Bhubaneswar: Riyansh Agarwal of Sundargarh emerged champion with 7.5 points in the boys category of the three-day long Odisha State Under 7 Open Chess Championship, which concluded here at Kalinga Stadium on Monday. 

Pragyan Mishra (7.5), Kavyansh Chakraborty (6) both from Khordha and Shivanshjit Sasmal (6) of Cuttack finished 2nd,3rd and 4th respectively. 

Similarly, Anannya Annwesha Mishra of Khordha claimed the girl’s category title with eight points.  However, Pratyakhyaa Shambhavi of Khordha bagged the girls runners up Trophy with 7 points, while Arnavi Panda of Cuttack (5.5) and Devanshi Sahoo of Khordha (5) finished third and fourth respectively. 

Top four finishers will represent the State in the upcoming National U-7 Championship to be held at KT Global School, Khordha from 1-5 June.
