Puri, Mar 30: The fourth batch of chariot wood for the world-famous Rath Yatra 2026 has arrived in Puri.
The wood, sourced from the Madhopur Forest range in Boudh district, reached the holy city last night at 9:30 pm.
This batch comprises 37 pieces of 12-foot Dhaura wood logs and 15 pieces of 20-foot logs, bringing the total to 52 pieces transported in two trucks.
The construction of Mahaprabhu’s chariot is scheduled to begin from Akshaya Trutiya, marking the start of preparations for the grand annual festival.
