Bhubaneswar, May 25: Odisha is expected to experience continued rainfall over the next five days, with a low-pressure system likely to develop over the west-central and adjoining north Bay of Bengal around May 27.
Currently, an upper air trough extending from the east-central Arabian Sea to north Odisha is bringing light to moderate showers across various regions of the state. Some districts, including Koraput, Kendrapara, Keonjhar, and Dhenkanal, have already recorded heavy rainfall, while the state capital, Bhubaneswar, has seen light to moderate rain.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast moderate rainfall and thunderstorms in several parts of Odisha through May 30, driven by the anticipated low-pressure system and ongoing upper air trough activity.
