Rain likely in Northern and Coastal Odisha due to low-pressure system

Bhubaneswar, Sept 16: Under the influence of a low-pressure area, several parts of northern and coastal Odisha are likely to experience light to moderate rainfall over the next few days, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

Rainfall forecast:

On Tuesday, thunderstorm activity with rainfall is expected in the districts of Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Sundargarh, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Angul, Dhenkanal, Puri, Khordha, Nayagarh, Ganjam, and Gajapati.

The IMD has also predicted light to moderate rainfall in various parts of coastal and northern Odisha on September 17. Districts likely to be affected include Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khordha, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, and Sundargarh.

Rainfall activity is expected to continue on September 18 and 19, with several areas in northern and coastal Odisha likely to receive showers.
